Discovering More
Land Rover has teased fans with pictures of the new Discovery, the brand’s full-sized seven-seat SUV.
Certainly, the car was due for an update. With most of the cars in the Land Rover range following the Range Range Evoque’s design language, the Discovery has remained steadfastly utilitarian and box-like.
However, with these new pictures, Land Rover has confirmed that the new Discovery will look like the rest of the range – as it should, given that the Freelander-replacing Discovery Sport has been out for a while with its Evoque-like looks.
The new Discovery takes the looks of the Discovery Sport and enlarges them, to great effect. Details on the new car are scant at the time of writing, but no doubt the new Discovery will be packed full of off-road tech designed to make tackling the most difficult terrain feel like it’s nothing.
In the Middle East, we can probably expect a V8 engine, and perhaps a smaller one, and naturally, the interior will be class-leading in terms of its luxury.
