Franck Muller’s Yachting Collection
The seafaring world and the watchmaking world have always been associated. Watch aficionados will remember the Panerai watches made for the Italian Navy or the IWC timepieces created specially for the British Navy.
Moving to more leisure-oriented timepieces, Swiss manufacturer Franck Muller just released a new collection made for yachting.
“The Yachting watch features all the seafaring details: from the deep blue to the wind rose adorning the dial everything reminds us the sea world,” explained the brand during the collection’s presentation.
Heavily inspired by the brand’s iconic Vanguard collection, the Yachting collection is made for discerning gentlemen that enjoy a good day at see but also value time.
This line, comprising four watches, mixes audacious designs and fine materials. Available in titanium, 18-carat gold and stainless steel customers can choose between an automatic and manual movements as well as four options for their timepiece.
Gravity tourbillon, classic, chronograph, and tourbillon are the options available for the dials making Franck Muller’s latest collection one of the most customisable in its range.
Each timepiece comes with a rubber and a alligator strap, to be used during yachting days as well as working days. In terms of power reserve, depending on the chosen model it varies from 42 to 60 hours. One of the drawbacks of this collection supposedly made for yachting is that only model is water resistant, however nobody will go diving with a Franck Muller on its wrist.
“This timepiece is the ideal sporty watch for the owners of a yacht as the two universes share the same elegance and technical features,” concluded the brand during the collection’s presentation.
