Breitling has launched the Avenger Hurricane, a watch full of superlatives with a standout 50 mm diameter. The case is ultra-sturdy and ultra-light, made in a futuristic material named Breitlight. it also features a Manufacture Breitling movement equipped with a 24-hour military- type display.
The use of Breitlight is a world-first on a watch case. the material is 3.3 times lighter than titanium and 5.8 times lighter than steel, but significantly harder. the exclusive, high-tech material boasts a number of qualities: exceptional resistance to scratches, traction and corrosion, anti-magnetic, thermal stability, anti-allergic properties – as well as a touch that is warmer than metal and a slightly mottled effect accentuating the originality of the design.
Meanwhile, the new Manufacture Breitling Caliber B12 is a self-winding chronograph with a 24-hour display as is customary in the military and among pilots, and chronometer-certified by the CosC (Swiss official Chronometer testing institute).
Breitling also claims extreme comfort with this watch, thanks to the exclusive strap combining yellow rubber core and sides with a high-resistance black military textile fibre exterior.
The timepiece is water-resistant to 100 metres, and features a rotating bezel with rider tabs serving to memorise times. The new Breitling is an instrument for profes- sionals, and asserts itself as a compendium of boldness, innovation and performance designed to share every challenge.
