S.T. Dupont launches its Haute Creation Collection in the presence of Club Limitada members and members of the media

Hundreds of cigar aficionados, editors, bloggers and influencers enjoyed a glamorous night of freshly rolled cigars paired with special cocktails from the sommelier of The Library lounge at The Ritz Carlton JBR.

Guests were given S.T. Dupont lighters with which to light their cigars. The collection from S.T. Dupont includes hand-made lighters and exclusive pieces reflecting the craftsmanship of this renowned manufacturer from Paris. Along with the accessories previewed, guests were able to admire an incredible S.T. Dupont cigar case that can be produced to special order, created for the company by Cyril Brizard, recognized as one of the world’s most talented cigar accessories makers. He uses exotic woods, fine leathers and even marble.

Buyers are able to select different colours and add personalization options to the case. S.T. Dupont was founded in 1872 but the brand´s continuous evolution and exceptional creativity places it firmly in the modern context of the 21st century. Interweaving sometimes iconoclastic but always exciting connections between traditional fine metalwork, the art of lacquering and contemporary culture, it draws its stimulating inspiration from the past, the present and the future.

Its Haute Creations Masterpieces are an exquisite demonstration of the House’s craftsmanship and expertise. Its Stones of Fortune Collection magnificently combines with the talent of gemstone sculptor Luis Alberto Quispe. The work of this glyptic artist is influenced by his travels in Africa, where he became aware of the power of nature. S.T.Dupont chose black obsidian and tiger’s eye for these exceptional pieces. Not only is their full beauty revealed by the artist’s engravings, but these two gemstones are also known for the beneficial properties they offer their owners.

The sides of the Ligne 2 Obsidian lighter are enhanced by lustrous, deep black obsidian. A powerful elephant, which appears to emerge from the lighter, is hand-sculpted in this rare gemstone. This lighter is available on order in a limited edition numbered from 1 to 288, in a palladium, yellow gold or rose gold finish.  Meanwhile, the Ligne 2 “Oeil de Tigre” lighter is decorated with yellow and brown tiger’s eye, while a mischievous monkey is hand-sculpted in the gemstone. This lighter is available on order in a limited edition numbered from 1 to 288, in a palladium, yellow gold or rose gold finish.

During the evening, freshly rolled cigars by the famous Cuban cigar roller, Virgina Viga were handed to all the guests.
