Infiniti And Beyond

Infiniti updates Its QX60 crossover as It eyes regional growth.

Infiniti has updated its QX60 crossover for 2016, introducing a number of changes that improve the seven-seater’s exterior design and its driving dynamics.

On the outside, the updated QX60 has been tweaked, with Infiniti attempting to craft a form that offers taut, muscular shapes and flowing lines. While we’re unsure about that, the look is unmistakably Infiniti, and the new QX60 features familiar signature brand design cues such as the double-arch front grille, double-wave bonnet, and crescent-cut D-pillar.

“The new QX60 will become an important part of Infiniti’s growth strategy as the premium crossover market continues to grow,” said Juergen Schmitz, managing director, Infiniti Middle East.

“The QX60 continues to perform well in our region with a 10 per cent growth rate for the first eleven months of 2015. The new model offers enhanced design, driving dynamics and best-in-class levels of interior comfort and convenience—all of which we are confident will help to continue to bolster our position in the premium crossover segment.”

The 2016 QX60 also features a new suite of safety technology, with Forward Emergency Braking (FEB) with pedestrian detection – a first for Infiniti – and the brand’s exclusive Predictive Forward Collision Warning (PFCW) system.
