Aptly named after the Palm Jumeirah, Fairmont The palm, Dubai, is the latest flagship for the luxury hotel company.

Opened in late 2012, this property features 381 guest- rooms and suites, including two presidential suites, 3,000 square metres of meeting space, outdoor leisure facilities with a beach restaurant and a private beach club, a pool complex and children’s activity centre, as well as a variety of dining facilities featuring views of the Arabian Sea, a Fairmont Gold product and a Willow Stream Spa.

The five-star property is a venture of IFA hotels & resorts. Fairmont The palm, is
one of four major projects developed by IFA hotels & resorts (IFA hr) on the palm Jumei- rah, and it made headlines in December 2010 as the first hotel construction project in Dubai to secure millions in foreign financing following the global economic crisis.

Renowned architecture firm DSA Architects International (DSA) was charged with the task of developing the hotel. This was achieved through a contemporary design brushed with Arabic influences, incorporating the natural elements of sand and sea, given the colour palate of beige, ecru, tan and light hues and natural building materials of granite and marble. The journey begins at the moment of arrival in the lobby, as guests experience unfettered views of the Arabian Gulf through a ceiling-high window.

This progression continues to the restaurants, which offer dining experiences in exquisite settings, and extends to the guest room suite with extended balcony space overlooking the sea and natural skyline.

Contemporary elegance suffused with Arabic touches is reflected throughout the décor of the 381 guestrooms and suites of the hotel. Many of the guest rooms are equipped with a spacious outdoor balcony overlooking the Dubai Marina and Arabian Sea and are perfect for a leisurely breakfast or an intimate dinner.

The hotel also offers Fairmont Gold, is a comprehensive lifestyle offering, featuring personalised service with amenities such as a private check-in area, an exclusive lounge and complimentary high-speed and wireless internet.

Spanning over two floors, guests are pampered with personalised attention and seamless service usually reserved for the most elite boutique hotels around the world. The offering is highlighted by 70 guestrooms that offer sweeping views of the Arabian Gulf and Dubai Marina. One of the largest ‘club’ lounges available in the city, the Fairmont Gold lounge provides a lush residential feel with plush seating areas and full culinary arrangements for complimentary daily breakfast buffet, and evening hors d’ouvres and drinks.

In terms of dining, there’s a novel dining available. Seven restaurants and lounges offer myriad dining options – from the bustle of the international restaurant, Flow Kitchen, with a dedicated juice bar and chef’s table, to one of the city’s authentic Brazilian restaurants, Frevo, incorporating the Churrasco method of grilling.

Be sure to visit Bã Lounge, a Chinese bar-lounge that offers exclusive culinary creations and selected beverages, or else relax at Seagrill on 25° restaurant & Lounge sets the scene for the perfect sundowner experience, offer- ing a Mediterranean cuisine, comprising of fresh grilled seafood. Meanwhile, The Cigar room rounds out the evening and provides a respite in the comfort of elegantly chic surroundings, highlighted by a walk-in humidor.

The hotel’s branded signature spa concept – Willow Stream Spa – is based on the philosophy of drawing on the energy and essence of its chosen destination. Covering over 1,600 square metres with 13 treatment rooms, the holistic spa experience showcases a wide range of treatments and wellness methodologies. Moreover, the spa and leisure offerings also include health and fitness recreational facilities, four outdoor swimming pools, a private beach and a children’s activity centre.
