Rado’s hidden depths

Rado’s Tradition Captain Cook MKII Automatic Limited Edition new take on a 1960s classic

1962 saw the launch of the Captain Cook MKII, with an impressive 220m water resistance rating and an inner turning bezel capable of measuring up to 80 minutes of elapsed dive time. This versatile timepiece now makes a welcome comeback to the Rado collection in a reimagined version that is true to the look and feel of the original. The new model bears an uncanny resemblance to the original, with its red and white inner bezel and natural coloured Super-LumiNova® dots. A matt black dial and sleek rhodium coloured dial elements update the watch for the modern man. Durable and versatile, the MKII features an easy-change strap system and the metallised anchor in the dial now sits within a sapphire crystal. With an automatic movement featuring up to 80 hours of power reserve, the MKII is ready to dive into any challenge.
