Stunning new Arabic-inspired Montblanc

Montblanc creates a stunning new model to celebrate the literary and cultural legacy of the Arab World

With the culture of writing an intrinsic part of Montblanc’s own heritage, the brand has created a special edition writing instrument to celebrate the profound literary and cultural legacy of the Arab World.

Inspired by the richness of Arabic architecture and the moucharabieh graphic pattern, the latest Montblanc has the rather long name of Meisterstück Qalam Watani Special Edition Doué Classique, which references ‘the pen of my nation’.

Crafted in a verdant translucent green precious lacquer with gradient finish, the colour is an interpretation of Malachite, a rare precious stone often associated with transformation and positive change.

The platinum coated cap of the fountain pen features a motif depicting details of distinctive Arabic architecture, while its top showcases an engraved quote in Arabic calligraphy by the 8th century scholar Ibn al-Muqaffa, that translates as “the pen is the mail of the heart”.

In addition to the iconic white Montblanc emblem on its crown, the cap also includes a deep-green round cut emerald and three platinum rings with the Montblanc name embossed. The hand-crafted 18k gold nib features a significant engraving of ‘hilaal’ – the crescent moon and a star representing the beauty of the Arab region.

The Montblanc Meisterstück Qalam Watani Special Edition Doué Classic writing instrument is available in both fountain pen and rollerball options in Montblanc boutiques in the UAE, KSA, and on the newly launched regional e-commerce platform: www.montblanc.com
