Swiss Alp Watch Concept Black

A master of the concept watch returns with an ear-opener

In a nod to the tradition of using minute repeaters to tell the time, H. Moser & Cie. has developed a minimalist, contemporary watch that questions the foundations of what a timepiece should do. Both logo and indices have been removed from the dial, presenting a watch with no hands. The glossy black dial features a one-minute flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock. And nothing else. The correct time can be discovered by listening for minute repeaters in this most minimalist of creations that resembles a modern day smart watch.

Inside the case is a flying tourbillon and one of the most difficult complications, the minute repeater with shaped chimes. Resolutely contemporary, the tourbillon appears to float on the completely naked dial, looking like a smart watch on standby.
